The episode begins with the family preparing for their first Christmas on the yacht. While Franklin is away, things take a surprising turn. Mia, in the middle of baking, realizes that the oven has suddenly stopped working, throwing her plans for the cake into disarray. Luckily, the friendly Filipino guy named Mani, who had previously rented out his bike to Franklin, offers to help. Mani, an expert handyman, assures Mia that he can fix the oven in no time. With Franklin’s trust in Mani from their previous interactions, Mia feels comfortable letting him take a look at the problem.

However, when Franklin returns to the yacht after his brief outing, he’s met with a scene that leaves him angry, shocked, and heartbroken. Standing in the kitchen, Franklin catches Mani trying to kiss Mia!
